About the Role:

The Senior Financial Industry Advisor serves as a trusted resource on issues affecting the financial industry with particular emphasis on developments in the payments ecosystem. The role combines external engagement independent analysis and subject matter expertise to support the Banks understanding of industry conditions emerging risks and evolving market dynamics.

This position requires a strong understanding of payments systems and infrastructure including both traditional payment rails and emerging payment technologies. The Advisor monitors and analyzes developments related to payments innovation digital assets and other evolving mechanisms and translates industry perspectives into clear actionable insights.

You Will:

  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on payments systems payment infrastructure and emerging payment technologies including traditional and newer forms of value transfer.
  • Analyze payment-related trends risks and developments including innovations such as digital assets and stable coins and assess their potential implications for financial institutions and the broader financial system.
  • Engage with financial institutions industry groups and other stakeholders to gather insights into financial and operational trends including credit conditions payments and emerging challenges across the industry.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into briefings memos and presentations for senior Bank leadership and internal partners.
  • Monitor regulatory legislative and industry developments across the financial services landscape including payments and emerging financial technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Bank to share insights and support broader understanding of payment-related developments.

You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in economics business finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in banking financial services policy regulation or related fields.
  • Demonstrate experience or expertise in payments systems payments innovation financial market infrastructure or related areas.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial or economic information into clear usable materials.
  • Understanding of both traditional payment mechanisms and emerging payment technologies including digital assets and stablecoins.
  • Ability to analyze complex and evolving topics and communicate insights clearly to senior audiences.
  • Strong judgment organization and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel).
