Job Summary
Temporary Meter/Relay Assistant (1000 Hour)
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! We are seeking a temporary Meter/Relay Assistant to join our substation this collaborative environment youll have the chance to learn from experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience in meter relay and automation technologies. This position is eligible to work up to 1000 hours.
- Perform installation maintenance modification to and testing of SCADA control fiber revenue metering and RTU circuitry.
- Assist with the electrical check-out and functionality of substation equipment control circuits and ancillary equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs in a clear and organized manner.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to our safety culture.
Showcase Your Knowledge Abilities and Expertise. Do you have
- A high school degree or equivalent
- A certificate diploma or associate degree in electrical construction automation controls substation telecommunications or a related technical field of study
- A valid drivers license.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and computer technology
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a team environment
Position Details
- Hourly pay rate is $27.00
- Paid work-related travel expenses
- PPE gear provided
- Summer work schedule is a 4/10 work week with 10-hour days M-Th and every Friday off
- Desired start date is April or May but will depend on candidate availability
