Position Summary:
As a Digital HP Indigo Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital presses ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials including labels and packaging. You will play a vital role in monitoring print quality and making necessary adjustments to meet client specifications. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional results while adhering to production schedules.
As an HP Indigo Operator you will collaborate closely with prepress and finishing teams to ensure a seamless workflow. Your ability to troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance will help keep production running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Set up operate and maintain HP Indigo digital presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Oversee Make Ready the preparation of digital files for printing ensuring proper formatting and adherence to job specifications.
- Monitor print quality throughout production making adjustments to maintain color accuracy and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance on HP Indigo presses including cleaning and calibrating the equipment.
- Load substrates and inks into the press ensuring proper alignment and setup for each job.
- Utilize the ERP system to track down the production/downtime of the machine.
- Collaborate with prepress finishing quality teams and production teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the printing process and implement effective solutions.
- Keep accurate records of production runs including job details machine settings and any encountered issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment to ensure a safe workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with digital printing processes and technologies including color management and file preparation is preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing packing or printing environment is advantageous.

- Attention to Detail: Keen focus on quality control ensuring all printed materials meet specifications and standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proficient in machine setup operation and basic maintenance with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team communicating clearly with colleagues across departments.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and processes adapting to changes in production demands and specifications.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

- Must have the ability to distinguish and differentiate between colors for printing labels.
