Location: Rochester NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $48$54/hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring close monitoring following surgery respiratory compromise or complex medical conditions. This role involves caring for telemetry patients utilizing EPIC for documentation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU / Step-Down patients
Monitor telemetry and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms
Identify and respond to patient deterioration using Rapid Response and Code Team protocols
Administer oxygen therapy and provide non-invasive airway management
Manage non-titrating cardiac drips and administer blood products
Perform central and peripheral line care and IV therapy
Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control standards
Document patient assessments care plans and interventions accurately in EPIC
Float to other units within scope of competency as required

Required Qualifications

Active New York State RN License (Single-State; NY is not a compact state)
Current BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications
Recent PCU / Step-Down or telemetry experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently on night shifts
