Department Overview
The END Specialist prepares patients and conducts routine and advanced outpatient inpatient and extraoperative END procedures; collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results andassists medical staff with complex recordings.
This technologist is able to work independently performing their principal duties andresponsibilities. The technologist in this role is able to supervise the duties of END Tech 1 and ENDTech 2 Assistants and Students.
Function/Duties of Position
Patient Preparation.
- The END Specialist documents a comprehensive patient history including neurological symptoms and medications.
Procedures.
- The END Specialist performs procedures appropriate totheir competence according to the policy and procedures includingtest setup electrode application maintaining patient safety andother related duties.
- Strong well developed communication skillsare essential for this position.
Equipment Maintenance.
- Maintains clean testing equipment maintains proper sanitization of supplies and surrounding area and reports equipment malfunctions in writing to our engineer.

Required Qualifications
Job Related KnowledgeSkills and Abilities(Competencies):
- Computer literacy
- Ability to troubleshoot common equipment problems
- Clear concise written documentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of current techniques/regulatory standards
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university will substitute for this education

HRC DCH and KPV. Possible exposure to human tissue/fluids with direct patient contact
