Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with deep expertise in VMware virtualization technologies to support maintain and enhance our enterprise infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability performance and security across virtualized environments while serving as a technical escalation point and mentor to junior team members.

Active Top Secret or Interim Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

Design implement and maintain VMware environments (vSphere ESXi vCenter)
Manage and optimize virtual infrastructure performance capacity and availability
Administer Windows and/or Linux server environments in virtualized settings
Perform system upgrades patching backups and disaster recovery planning/testing
Monitor system health and proactively troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Support storage and networking components related to virtualization (SAN/NAS VLANs NIC teaming)
Implement and maintain security best practices access controls and system hardening
Collaborate with IT leadership application teams and vendors on infrastructure initiatives
Serve as a technical escalation resource for system-related incidents and outages
Document system configurations procedures and operational standards
Mentor junior administrators and contribute to process improvements
