Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions that improve developer productivity and system reliability
- Build and maintain shared platform services libraries and infrastructure components
- Develop integration patterns and tooling for connecting internal systems and third-party services
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to provide architectural guidance and technical consultation
- Implement and maintain contract testing frameworks to minimize integration errors across services
- Work with authentication and identity systems (SSO SAML OAuth) across multiple platforms
- Contribute to event-driven architectures using message buses and async patterns
- Create technical documentation architectural decision records and integration guides
- Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
- 5 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a senior or platform-focused role
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (Ruby Python(preferred) others accepted: and Go).
- Good level of experience with AWS services (Lambda API Gateway Cognito DynamoDB SQS/SNS)
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture API design and distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
- Familiarity with message queues and event-driven patterns (Kafka RabbitMQ or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
Nice to have:
- Experience with contract testing tools (Pact Open or similar)
- Background in healthcare technology or familiarity with HIPAA/HiTrust compliance
- Experience with identity federation (SAML Azure AD/Entra ID AWS Cognito)
- Exposure to WebSocket implementations and real-time data systems
- Experience creating internal developer tools SDKs or shared libraries
- SQL GraphQL
