Function:
TheQuality Technicianis responsible forensuring thatfinished goods meet specifications and customer expectations. Thisis achieved through inspection ofreceivedmaterials audits of production processes and verification of the finished product prior to technician will alsoassistwith other activities to ensure customer satisfactionand improve products and processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performmanufacturingprocess audits to assess compliance and capability
- Perform inspections of incoming material to evaluate supplier quality
- Assistwith investigation of product failures which occur in the field
- Communicate findings of product and process audits to line supervisors and area managers
- Audit business and manufacturing processes tovalidateeffectiveness of corrective actions
- Record production data and supportdata collection systems
- Assist Quality Engineerwith metric analysis and reportingofkey performance indicators
- May berequiredto fit or assemble fabricated parts together to assessissues with part quality and/orassemblymethodsandreport findings to drive corrective actions.
- Mayconsultwith engineers production personnel programmers or others to resolve assemblyissuesand to implement improvements
- Perform other duties asrequiredorassigned.
Required Skills:
- Must be self-motivatedandtask-oriented with a strong personaldrivefor success
- Organizationand time management skills are critical
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawingsand mechanical aptitudeare critical
- Ability tooperateand readmeasurementtools includingtape measuredialcaliperandmicrometer
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs(OutlookExcel WordPowerPoint)
Qualifications:
- Associates degree;Engineeringor Engineering Technologycourse work is a plus
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Welding brazingand/or sheet metalexperience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day
- Ability to perform activities including bending stooping standingandlifting up-to 50 lbs. to a48 shelf
- Maintain squatting position for part inspection
- Lift parts from overhead rack for part inspection
- Push/pull parts on cart up to100lbs. for up to 30 minutes at a time
