The Role
ABC News is looking for a Reporter to join our Great Southern WA this role you will create compellingmulti-platformcontent that reflects the diversity of the region and contributes to the ABCs trusted news coverage nationally. Based in our Albany bureauyoullcollaborate with a supportive and experienced team committed to deliveringhigh-impactjournalism.
The Job
- Produce news bulletins Q&As interviews and packages across all platforms including breaking news.
- Pitchplanand create original story ideas that engage both local and national audiences.
- Actively engage with communities to source authentic and diverse content.
- Contribute to local emergency coverage plans and liaise with stakeholders asrequired.
- Identifyregional content opportunities to be shared across ABC programs and platforms.
About You
You are an accomplished storyteller with strong editorial judgement and a passion for serving regional communities.
Youllhave:
- Demonstrated experience in content creation and live broadcast presentation.
- Strong editorialresearchand analytical skills.
- A deep understanding of local issues and an ability to connect with diverse communities.
