Currently we have an exciting career opportunity for a part-time paid Engineering co-op position to assist in projects to improve forging practices costing and processes.
The co-op will be tasked with various short/long term projects to gather and analyze data required for efficient design/processing of forgings. Intern will be exposed to manufacturing environment estimating of forging processes manufacturing process planning heat treatment etc.

Essential Functions:

Learn about the forging process and production tracking.
Assist with the planning of production routing.
Assist with the purchasing of supplies for the forge shop.
Support zero defect and pipeline projects to help improve productivity or reduce variable cost.
Track projects to determine success or failure and the potential impact.
Hold responsible for individual and group projects.
Other projects/duties as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum second year students working towards Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
A strong technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently yet interact closely with other departments customers and vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); Oracle a plus.
Intern position will be flexible to work around breaks weekly school schedule etc.
