Job Summary:
As a Test Technician you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and long-term durability of Company vehicles. You will be responsible for the hands-on execution of complex hydraulic tests detailed component inspections and the management of sensitive instrumentation. You arent just running machines; you are the eyes and ears on the ground collaborating directly with Durability Engineers to capture the data that makes our vehicles safer and more reliable.
Responsibilities:
Oversee hydraulic test equipment and manage inspections and change-over of samples between test cycles.
Perform detailed inspection of components for hairline cracks wear patterns and other signs of structural fatigue.
Start and stop hydraulic test equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive test documentation to ensure data integrity.
Change over samples between tests.
Collaborate closely with Durability Engineers and test teams to understand testing requirements and provide technical guidance on the appropriate selection and placement of sensors.
Perform cleaning of instrumentation sensors and conduct general or preventative maintenance on lab equipment.
Manage general lab upkeep and maintain an accurate inventory of both test and non-test components.
Qualifications:
1 years of experience as a technician-level role.
Strong observational capabilities.
Basic mechanical and fabrication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents schematics wiring diagrams and engineering specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Abilities to learn new skills quickly
Highly self motivated work ethic.
Working Conditions
Work will be performed on-site at the Company Plymouth facility.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Work will require inspecting components in difficult to get to areas around a vehicle of fixture
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or optional weekends to support critical testing schedules.
