Depending on the number of employees at the location or in the country the position holder is the only HR resource at a location or in a country. The HR People Partner may thus have a large customer group at a large/complex location or smaller location. The HR People Partner is a central component of the employee experience the position holder empowers managers supports employees and implements HR initiatives where they are most important: on site. The role advises managers and employees on local HR issues offers regular coaching and support and provides competent advice on employee relations compliance with local laws and guidelines workforce planning and change initiatives. The work thus directly contributes to a positive inclusive and safe work culture and enables managers to lead confidently and clearly. With a strong focus on proactive support and problem-solving the position holder ensures that GEV employees feel heard supported and aligned for success daily.

Strengthening Employee Leadership
- Conducting management training to solve problems using central tools and HR standards.
- Supporting and coaching managers on complex issues.
- Working closely with managers to promote an inclusive safety-oriented corporate culture.
- Collaborating with local management teams and providing advice on HR-related matters.
Focus on Employee Experience
- Contributing to the promotion of a positive corporate culture by integrating GEV values into local HR initiatives. Supporting the improvement of engagement and the overall employee experience.
- Bringing together employee opinions by sharing employee insights and HR data with HRBPs and employee managers.
- Redirecting inquiries through appropriate self-service channels and training employees in new ways of working.
Local Support and Employee Relations
- Local HR expert for employee managers HRBPs and COEs.
- Handling proactive employee relations issues and everyday complaints to minimize problem escalation.
- Collaborating with COEs to resolve sensitive matters (e.g. determining corrective actions after an investigation analyzing emergency cases to develop appropriate measures).
- (If no local/special LR function exists): Advising and supporting labor relations/unions and works councils on activities/issues (e.g. wage/contract negotiations) and performing work that requires local expertise or on-site presence (legal/regulatory or market/community aspects).
- Ensuring compliance and enforcement of local regulations/laws/guidelines and providing the necessary level of support for managers to make effective decisions.
HR Strategy & HR Process Activation
- Implementing the HR and talent agenda set by HRBPs
- Supporting local HR projects and change initiatives
- Leading various HR initiatives across the entire talent lifecycle and supporting managers and employees in their implementation including the introduction of new HR processes and corporate culture.
- Actively participating in HR decisions taking into account and aligning with corporate goals and compliance requirements based on local knowledge and expertise.
Employee Engagement & Psychological Risks
- Employee Engagement is People leader lead. The HR People Partner will support employee engagement initiatives locally by:
- Serving as a liaison between employees and HRBPs to relay feedback and suggestions
- Supporting People Leaders in implementing engagement strategies within their teams
- Coaching People Leaders on creating an engaging work environment
- HR People Partners will identify and mitigate psychosocial risks within their client groups and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement programs to address those risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university
- Strong professional experience in human resources with areas of responsibility such as recruitment training compensation
- Very good German language skills in writing and speaking
- Good English language skills benefits employee development or performance management
