Job Description
Homeroom Teacher (HRT) IB PYP
The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) by creating a safe engaging and inquiry-based learning environment. The teacher plans and implements transdisciplinary units monitors student progress and supports the academic social and emotional development of learners. The role involves close collaboration with specialist teachers effective communication with parents and active participation in school events assessments and professional development aligned with IB standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver IB PYP curriculum using inquiry-based approaches
Act as the primary point of contact for students and parents
Monitor assess and document student learning and progress
Foster student agency wellbeing and positive classroom culture
Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and integration
Participate in school events meetings and IB trainings
Key Skills & Requirements
IB PYP training or experience (preferred)
Strong classroom management & communication skills
Passion for child-centered inquiry-based learning
Good documentation and assessment skills
