Unity Lab Services providesa single sourcefor integrated lab service support and supply management. Our customized service offerings and world-class service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address ourcustomers laboratorysbusiness needs.

What will you do

Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: on-site program replenishments and disbursements receiving put-away stock rotation cycle counts order entry andexpediting customer service call resolution product returns and backorder processing

Perform laboratory services such as order delivery glassware processing biological waste processing chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation and media preparation

Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various reports to ensure contractual requirements are met

Proactively connect with thesupervisorany customer concerns and/or potential problems and effectively address customer concerns within established resolutiontimeframes.

Be involved with safety programs such as hazard identificationinspectionsand incident reporting/investigation as.

Engage in process improvement activities

May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is preferred. Experience working in customer service is also a plus.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

Able to read write and speak English fluently

Strong verbal and written communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service. This includesmaintaininga professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.

Possessesa strong desireto serve the customer andthe interpersonalskills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.

Independentlyoperateshandheld scanners to enter data in various systems asneeded;as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports.

Demonstrates computerproficiencyandpossessesintermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.Usesorganizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Works primarily at customer sites which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use (such as penicillin tetracyclineetc)

Depending on the area of the building personal protective equipment may be worn including lab coats coveralls hoods facemasks hairnets safety gloves steel-toe shoes (required for all colleagues) bump hats and/or safety glasses.

Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally.

Regularly useequipment including pushcarts pallet jacks mobile cylinders forklifts etc. to push/pull up to 100lbs

Regularly required to standwalkand conduct manual material handling (twisting bending reaching lifting etc.) for prolonged periods.

Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms outside etc.)

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $19.64$29.45.
