Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry is responsible for providing safe patient-centered nursing care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The RN plans implements and evaluates individualized care plans based on patient needs clinical priorities and evidence-based practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assess plan implement and document nursing care based on patient needs and acuity
Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments
Initiate assessments based on patient conditions physician diagnoses and functional health frameworks
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care
Document care in accordance with professional nursing standards and clinical priorities
Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery
Deliver patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience
Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and non-titratable drips
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Proficiency with ALARIS infusion pumps
Ability to manage high patient volumes including frequent admissions and discharges
Strong time management and organizational skills
Education Requirements
Required:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
Active New Jersey RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
NIHSS
Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam
Tele Certification
CEU: 4 Contact Hours in Stroke Education
