• Travel Rate: $1967.50/week

• Local Rate: $1612.50/week

Shift Information

• Primary Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

• Rotational Shift: Occasional rotation to 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

• Weekend Rotation: Required

• On-Call: Required

Job Summary

A healthcare organization in Syracuse NY is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technologist to support anesthesia services across all locations where general anesthesia is administered. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. Experience supporting complex and invasive procedurespreferably within a Level I trauma settingis highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support anesthesia services in all areas where general anesthesia is provided

• Perform anesthesia room turnovers efficiently and safely

• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled and emergency procedures including invasive cases

• Set up troubleshoot and maintain various makes and models of anesthesia machines

• Assist anesthesiologists with invasive procedures including:

  • Arterial line placement

  • Central venous catheter (CVC) placement

  • Thermodilution catheter placement

• Apply infection control standards related to anesthesia equipment and supplies

• Maintain aseptic and sterile technique at all times

• Reprocess anesthesia equipment according to established protocols

• Order stock and restock anesthesia supplies rooms and carts as directed

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate of an approved accredited Anesthesia Technology program

• ASATT National Certification as an Anesthesia Technologist

• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date

• Preferred: 35 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist

• Preferred: Consistent experience in a Level I trauma center

• Preferred: Experience supporting acute cardiac cases

• Strong knowledge of reprocessing methods sterile tray setup and aseptic techniques

• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
