Overview
Works with the overall project team to document systems.Coordinates monitorsandexpeditesthe flow of documents within the operation or betweenEngineering and Purchasing. Works closely with Engineering management to support Engineering and work as a liaison between other departments.
Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of engineering support specialists to support electrical and mechanical ordering and parts procurement
- Reviews team resources andevaluatesworkload against growth needs of the team tofacilitatesupport of electrical and mechanical ordering
- Sets andmaintainsdepartment and company ordering procedures
- Coordinates task management between team members andensurestimeliness and accuracy of processing
- Maintains parts in ROI (ERP system) and provides job setup
- Entersmaintains and tracks all sales orders entered in ROI
- Reviews and provides feedback on drawing sets
- Receives bidswrites purchase orders and tracks progress of vendor-built panels ordered by Engineering
- Coordinates project-returned material with vendors
- Provides mentoring and coaching to Engineering Support Specialists
- Provides miscellaneous support to Engineering team
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associatesdegree in CAD or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience designing industrial control panels in a CAD environment
- Minimum of 5years experiencewith procurement preferably in an engineering environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects andwork load
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience is preferred
KnowledgeSkillsand Abilities Requirements
- Knowledge of engineering and procurement processes
- Knowledge of engineering terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory skills for directing coaching scheduling andassistingteam members
- Ability to multi-task whilemaintainingattention to detail and deadlines
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and stress
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Must be able to speakreadand understand the English language
