Description of Job

Job Description:

Responsible for all general State Wildlife Area maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restroomsvault toiletspicnic areas trails etc. Operates and performs

routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment. Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance repair and cleanliness. Provides information and assistance to visitors. May assist with carpentry plumbing masonry electrical work and transporting materials and supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.

NOTE:

This position is up to 40 hours per week and up to 6 months in duration. Housing isNOTprovided.

  • BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be at least 16 years of age
    • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a current motor vehicle report.
    • Must be willing to work outside during hot and inclement weather.
    • Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday.
    • Knowledge of power tools and hand tools preferred.
    • Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
    • First Aid and CPR certifications may be required.
    • Must be able to work various shifts weekends and holidays
