CoreWeave is seeking a transformational and visionary Global Vice President of Public Sector and Federal Business to lead our worldwide public sector strategy and revenue growth. This executive will serve as a key member of the CoreWeave organization responsible for building scaling and leading all public sector businesses globally including Federal (Civilian Defense and Intelligence) State and Local Government and Education (SLED) markets.
This is a critical leadership role at a pivotal moment for Artificial Intelligence and for CoreWeave as government entities worldwide accelerate their adoption of AI infrastructure and advanced computing capabilities. It is an opportunity to build the Public Sector Business from the ground up leveraging your deep expertise and knowledge of AI Cloud and Public Sector. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational business leader with deep public sector knowledge a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in cloud and AI technology and the strategic vision to position CoreWeave as the essential AI cloud partner for governments and public institutions globally.
This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be instrumental in shaping CoreWeaves public sector go-to-market strategy building world-class teams establishing key relationships with government entities and partners and driving transformational growth in one of the most strategic and high-potential market segments for the company.
What Youll Do
- Define and execute CoreWeaves global public sector strategy establishing CoreWeave as the AI cloud leader for government defense intelligence education and public institutions worldwide
- Develop and articulate a compelling vision for how CoreWeaves AI infrastructure will transform public sector operations research defense capabilities and citizen services
- Build comprehensive go-to-market strategies and plans for Federal (Civilian Defense Intelligence) State & Local Government and Education segments globally
- Partner with executive leadership to align public sector initiatives with overall company strategy and growth objectives
- Serve as CoreWeaves primary public sector evangelist representing the company at industry events government forums and with key stakeholders
- Recruit develop and lead a world-class global public sector sales organization including regional sales leaders account executives solutions architects and sales operations professionals
- Lead Cross-functional Public Sector initiatives at the company including coordination and collaboration with Engineering Product and all departmental functions.
- Lead partnerships with external stakeholders and full lifecycle GTM plus strategy for security clearances ecosystem engagement and the unique demands of implementation and support.
- Create scalable repeatable sales processes and programs to drive efficiency and predictable revenue growth
- Establish key performance metrics and rigorously manage team performance against goals
- Partner with product engineering and compliance teams to ensure CoreWeaves offerings meet stringent public sector requirements (FedRAMP IL5 ITAR and equivalent international certifications) while providing market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization
- Collaborate with marketing to develop public sector-specific messaging content and campaigns
- Partner with legal compliance and security teams to navigate complex government procurement processes and regulatory requirements
- Engage with government affairs and policy teams to stay ahead of regulatory changes and funding opportunities
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in technology business leadership with at least 10 years focused on public sector markets
- Demonstrable success selling cloud AI/ML or advanced technology solutions to government entities
- Deep understanding of Federal (Civilian Defense Intelligence) State & Local and Education procurement processes funding mechanisms and decision-making structures
- Proven track record of securing large strategic contracts (>$10M ARR) with government agencies
- Intimate knowledge of key policy imperatives compliance requirements (FedRAMP FISMA IL5 ITAR) and procurement vehicles (GSA Schedule GWACs IDIQs)
- Exceptional executive presence with ability to engage effectively with C-level government officials political appointees and senior military leadership
- Strong network of relationships within government systems integrators and public sector ecosystem
- Experience with international public sector markets beyond the United States (NATO allies Five Eyes partners or other strategic regions) preferred with an understanding of international compliance requirements and government procurement processes
- Experience in a high growth environment with an ability to operate with an Entrepreneurial mindset and pace
Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience with AI cloud and technology solutions with Public Sector
- Background in federal systems integration defense contracting or government engagement
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain clearance
- Experience with government-focused partner ecosystems and channel programs
