DescriptionThe primary purpose of the position is to provide assistance in implementation of research projects in the Healthy Eating and Activity Laboratory. Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator performs scientific investigative research in behavioral medicine areas related to obesity care. Conducts research and delivers intervention according to established protocols; collects and analyzes data using statistical in writing reports on the research performed. Interacts with research assistants and participants of research projects.
ResponsibilitiesImplements research protocols and methodology under intermittent supervision.
- Recruits and screens participants.
- Orients participants to study procedures and obtains consent.
- Collects interprets describes and documents complex analytical and evaluative research data particularly related to dietary assessment.
- Delivers with autonomy lifestyle obesity care interventions to participants.
- Manages data and databases.
Supervision
- Trains graduate and undergraduate students on data collection and data management.
Communication
- Prepares reports for IRB and data safety monitoring.
- Writes standard operating procedures and intervention materials.
