About the Department
To support the Analyst Team in delivering high level specialist analysis for the Public Health Team. To provide analytical support and advice to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery in all services and functions. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of robust and effective risk stratification cost benefit analysis and other strategic evaluations under guidance. Support service and corporate transformation and improvement initiatives. To provide data and analytical support including having responsibility for submitting statutory returns corporate performance updates and updates on performance to PHLT. Ensuring that access to relevant data is maintained for the team through keeping data sharing agreements and protocols up to date. To deputise for senior members of team when required. Commitment to personal program of continuing professional development. Act as an ambassador for change and promote our values ensuring they are reflected and embedded in everything we do. |
About the Role

Werelooking for someone who has:
Good degree of literacy and numeracy
Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
Skills in the use of Microsoft products including Excel
Ability to analyse interpret and present quantitative data
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Accuracy and attention to detail in own work
Ability to work to instruction and independently and to use initiative
Ability to produce detailed and insightful reports and translate complex information into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload working to tight and often changing timescales
Strong organisational skills ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines
Essential qualifications:
Level 3 qualifications in relevant subjects AND at significant experience working as an analyst / Level 4 or higher qualification in relevant subject
Experience in the use and application of basic statistical and epidemiological methods
Experience in the use of basic statistical and epidemiological methods for interpreting and understanding data sets
Knowledge of how linked data can be used to improve health and an understanding of the principles and approaches to data linkage
