Description of Work

Under the guidance of the Farmworker Health Program Manager this position will have the following job responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance to grantees and other healthcare and community-based agencies to increase access to high quality comprehensive health services for the agricultural community
Serve as co-lead training coordinator
Serve as co-lead for program communications

It is expected that this position will work within a team to ensure that additional Program activities are accomplished including but not limited to grant writing and reporting providing staff support to the Programs governing board representing the Program and Office on workgroups and committees and engaging in Office Service Area Team meetings to provide regional support and ensure coordination of services.

Provide technical assistance to farmworker health service delivery sites other grantees and other health care agencies to facilitate access to high quality comprehensive health services with patient engagement.
Provide guidance to grantees to support the integration of medical behavioral health dental and enabling services.
Respond to requests for information from service delivery sites students community groups and other audiences about NCFHP and the agricultural worker communities in North Carolina.
Support the implementation of projects that contribute to the health and wellness of the agricultural community.
Assist Program Manager with preparing grants to support access to medical dental and behavioral health services. This can involve conducting needs assessments grant writing partnership development and project monitoring Participate in HRSAs Operational Site Visits.
Participate in the Programs strategic planning process.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $60881 - $106544

Recruitment Range: $60880 - $73000

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred.

  • Experience working with non-profits public health programs and/or federally qualified health centers.
  • Experience implementing and monitoring projects to respond to the health needs of the agricultural community.
  • Experience developing and implementing training.
  • Experience with developing and disseminating health education materials.
  • Professional experience with clear verbal and written communication using a variety of communication methods. Hiring preferences
  • Experience with providing health support services to individuals and communities.
  • Experience with agricultural communities.
  • Experience with community and/or patient engagement activities that inform program development.
  • Experience with project management and leadership

This position is 100% federally funded.
