The department encompasses Capital Projects and Planning Facilities Management Parking & Mobility Services Auxiliaries & Real Estate and Business & Operations.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director ofFacilities Management andCampus Operations the Manager of Electronic Security and Vertical Transportation Systems is a full-time exempt position responsible for the strategic oversight compliance and operational performance of campus-wide electronic life safety security and elevator systems. This role manages the design maintenance and integration of fire alarm systems intrusion and panic alarms camera surveillance C-Cure access control systems and all elevator assets across the University of Denver campus. The manager ensures regulatory compliance with NFPA 72 ASME A17.1 and City and County of Denver requirements leads a team of technicians and serves as the primary liaison with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
This position requires proactive coordination with Telephone Services Campus Safety and other service departments. The managerparticipatesin the emergency on-call rotation and must respond to campus incidents within designatedtimeframes. A valid Colorado drivers license and clean driving record arerequired.

Working Environment
Works in a standardtosmall office environment. 50% atwork station 50% in the field working with other Departments on development of specific unit plans. Unexpected interruptions occurfrequently;and stresslevel ismoderate. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. There are occasionswherethe employee will be exposed to alltypeof outdoor weather conditions. Additionally this position may occasionally be called to work different hours or locations; position also serves as an on-call technician on a rotating basis.

Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjobtheemployeeregularlyistositandorstand for prolonged periods of time.May also beto routinely lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.Thispositiongenerallyworksequalamountsoftimeindoorsandoutdoorsinallweatherconditions.Maybeexpectedtoworkonaladderupto20feetabovethegroundforextendedperiodsoftime.Specific vision abilitiesfor this position include close vision distance vision night vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 13.
Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $43.10-$47.89.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
