Banquet Server
Position Overview: As a banquet hall server your primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and efficient execution of events and functions held at Deer Creek. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service to guests delivering food and beverages and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure a positive and memorable experience for all guests.
- Strong customer and communication skills
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age andhave a valid SMART serve certification.
- Must be available to work evenings weekends holidays based on the event schedule.
- Available in the fall and winter months.
- Previous work experience in a banquet hall or catering service is preferred.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and life/move heavy trays.
Food and Beverage Service:
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Follow proper serving etiquette and presentation standards.
- Set up banquet tables and buffet stations according to the event specifications.
- Monitor and replenish food and beverage supplies during events.
Communication:
- Coordinate with your event supervisor service lead and our kitchen to ensure timely service and any changes that need to be made.
- Communicate effectively with other Banquet servers.
Adaptability:
- Be flexible and adaptable to handling last-minute changes or requests during events.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment prioritizing tasks as needed.
Professionalism:
- Always uphold a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Follow dress code and grooming standards set by the banquet hall
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations including food safety standards.
- Follow establishment protocols for handling and serving alcoholic beverages.
