AVTECH Global is looking for an Aircraft Component Repair Liaison Engineer in Tulsa OK.
Position Purpose:
Liaison engineering supporting heavy maintenance base operations at aircraft MROs and/or aircraft component repairs at component MROs
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Providing technical dispositions (via Engineering Authorizations) and guidance for aircraft issues that exceed published limits for structural damage including sheet metal and composite repairs. This often includes performing a structural analysis.
- Providing work deviation authorization interpretation of service documents & Engineering Orders.
- Providing options for repairing versus replacing a part to minimize financial impact.
- Providing aircraft system trouble shooting assistance to Base Maintenance.
- Attending daily production meeting and pre-induction meeting to ensure timely support
- Providing on-site engineering assistance for significantly damaged line aircraft as required.
- Coordinating events/issues with Engineering Fleet Groups for additional action troubleshooting and follow-up.
- Monitoring trends and recurring discrepancies requiring corrective action. Developing Typical Repairs and manual supplement to eliminate repetitive BA requests.
As an ideal candidate to join the AVTECH team you will meet the following:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BS Degree (or higher) in Aeronautical Aerospace Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- Two plus (2) years in specific technical discipline
Required Unique Skills:
- Ability to perform structural analysis to substantiate repairs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong investigative analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated conscientious and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of FARs FAA policies and vendor manual (AMM IPC CMM)
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule to meet internal customers needs
- Aircraft/airline/MRO or aviation engineering experience desired
Location / Travel:
This is a REMOTE position with no relocation requirement. Travel to clients will be required once per month (minimum) for 3-4 days at a time. All travel costs are covered (including flights hotel rental car GSA per diem etc.). Additionally the travel locations/frequency are subject to change (with an advanced notice) depending on where coverage is needed.
This is a salary position with a pay rate based on experience etc.
