Supervises the planning development and implementation of clinical practices research and education in the area of human and clinical genetics under the supervision of leadership. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age developmental stages and special needs of the patients served.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Walking standing sitting lifting teaching bending pushing and pulling required. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling of patients and medical equipment and supplies. May be exposed to blood and other potentially infectious materials. Must have intact sense of sight hearing speed touch and finger dexterity.
Education Experience and Certifications
Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling or related field. 3 years experience as a Genetic Counselor. Extensive and broad experience in Clinical Genetics. Demonstrates exemplary capability in program development policies and procedures within the area of human and clinical genetics. Board Certification as a Genetic Counselor by the American Board of Genetics Counseling.
