Summer Career Academy- Instructional Assistants
For the 2026summer program vacancies forInstructional Assistant positions exist within the Division of Career Technical and Customized Education of the Chester County Intermediate Unit at the Technical College High School Brandywine Pickering and Pennocks Bridge Campuses. Position is temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with children preference for experience of middle school ages.
Current (within one year) police child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports the Summer Career Academy (SCA) Instructor for the duration of the Summer Career Academy program by: Assisting with classroom instruction monitoring students in hallways classrooms and lunch communicating with parents and TCHS Administrators communicating with the SCA Coordinator and promoting TCHS programs.

Hourly Rate:

The IA starting hourly rate is provided below based on candidate experience.

0 - 9yrs experience $18.72
10- 13yrs experience $20.57
14- 17yrs experience $22.41
18- 25yrs experience $24.26
*Bachelors degree isequivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale $18.72
*Masters degree isequivalent to 15 yrsexperience on the scale $22.41
