Salary Range: $52000 $90000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary
The Sterile Processing Manager provides operational leadership and staff oversight for a high-volume Sterile Processing Department supporting complex surgical and procedural services within an acute-care environment. Reporting to senior departmental leadership this role is accountable for departmental performance staff competency quality assurance and collaboration with surgical and clinical partners.
This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced Sterile Processing leader or a senior team lead ready to advance into a broader management role within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and daily operational oversight of the Sterile Processing Department
Support departmental goals patient safety standards and service excellence initiatives
Collaborate closely with Surgical Services and clinical departments to ensure efficient workflow and case readiness
Assist with staffing scheduling and maintaining appropriate skill mix across all shifts
Support recruitment onboarding orientation and ongoing education of department staff
Ensure staff competency certification compliance and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Assist with quality assurance programs and continuous performance improvement initiatives
Monitor and promote compliance with aseptic technique infection control and sterilization standards
Recommend staffing levels equipment needs and operational resources to leadership
Serve as a visible and supportive leader for evening shift operations
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Sterile Processing experience
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Completion of a Two-Year Surgical Technology Program or CRCST/CSPDT certification
Active CSPDT or IAHCSMM (HSPA) certification
Strong leadership communication and technical skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Proficiency with computer systems and department workflow applications
In-depth knowledge of:
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors Degree
Experience supporting multiple surgical service lines
Leadership experience in large or high-volume Sterile Processing departments
Surgery Center leadership experience
