Job: Epic Analyst Classification: Salaried/Exempt Job Category: 2 - Professional
Position Summary The Epic Analyst interacts with nurses specialists and other IT professionals. Daily duties for an Epic Analyst include gathering and analyzing data designing workflows measuring impact educating and training end users managing systems consulting and managing discussions between end users and software developers. Epic Analysts work closely with Epic users to ensure the Epic modules and integrated systems are functioning properly and providing adequate support to the mission. The Epic Analyst field spans nursing computer science and information science to support the practice of nursing. Health care organizations rely on the Epic Analyst to manage clinical outcomes and improve cost efficiency.
Essential Functions -Assess user needs around system functionality and identify improvements. -Serves as main point of contact for technical issues and general questions for related applications. -Monitors system usage for accuracy performance and effectiveness. -Works in collaboration with host/vendor to implement new projects (such as a new module). -Manages upgrades of assigned applications by setting timelines maintaining continuous communication and addressing issues. -Analyzes and communicates the impact of issues. -Triages requests and determining priority of issues. -Resolves end-user application issues and ensures business needs are met. -Collaborates across roles and teams to solve end-user problems. -Escalates end-user problems to the appropriate level when necessary. -Validates that solutions are complete and appropriately implemented. -Builds relationships with end-users and provide consistent support through day-to-day communication. -Performs other duties as assigned. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Work Experience -Three years of working knowledge of Epic preferred. -Experience as an Epic analyst or trainer preferred. -Certifications in Epic modules are preferred.
Education -Graduate of a college or university with a bachelors degree preferred.
