Job Summary
New Hampshires first statewide online school the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School is currently accepting applications for an Advisor/School Counselor. This full-time position will work under the Director of Academic and Student Affairs to promote and nurture the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study; monitoring assisting with academic efforts; providing a safe environment conducive to learning; keeping parents Responsibilities:Respond to full time students and guardians regarding the full time program including those pertaining to specific course offerings curriculum credits the Advisor for a caseload of full time students offering services in the academic career and social-emotional full time student academic progress credits and with students guardians and instructors to help support students who may be having difficulty with course material and/or as an advisor whose primary goal is to help every student become college career and citizenship positive relationships with students and parents / guardians and guide students through the development of a future advisory development.(As needed) consult with the Admissions team to determine if a student meets criteria for full-time required required trainings and work to be proficient in required technologyOther duties as assigned.
