Job Advertisement: Head of Alliances - APAC
Overview
Our client is a leading global digital infrastructure provider empowering enterprises to thrive in a hyperconnected world spanning network cloud security mobility IoT and collaboration with customers globally including Fortune 500 companies. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Alliances - APAC to join the team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic partnerships and drive business growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
Responsibilities
As the Head of Alliances - APAC you will:
- Build and expand business opportunities through go-to-market (GTM) activities with alliance partners such as Poly/HPE Genesys Cisco Microsoft Fortinet Versa HPE-Aruba Cisco-Meraki Zscaler Netskope and others.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with alliance partners understanding their business models and joint value propositions (JVP).
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales Marketing Tower Specialists and Product Managers to design and implement joint sales and marketing initiatives with alliance partners.
- Ensure technical alignment and certifications for partnership tiers and pricing.
- Conduct awareness sessions for alliances internal teams and customers to promote joint value propositions.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities with existing and potential partners.
- Create and implement account planning demand-generation strategies and governance frameworks for joint GTM initiatives.
- Facilitate technical enablement through regular partner-led technical and sales sessions.
- Organize customer events through partner-sponsored programs in collaboration with marketing teams.
- Build and manage Market Development Funds (MDF) with partners.
- Develop and distribute a Partner Newsletter for the APAC region.
- Lead cadence calls pipeline tracking and reporting to align with demand-generation program objectives.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role you should possess:
- 12-15 years of experience in sales or consulting within technologies such as Voice & Messaging Networking (SD-WAN SASE Security MPLS DIA IPL) Cloud Data Centres Mobility Edge Services and Unified Communication.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology alliance management.
- A strong interest in emerging technologies and trends (IoT AI Big Data etc.) with relevant certifications being a plus.
- A bachelors degree in engineering and a masters degree in management business operations marketing or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills strategic thinking and the ability to engage effectively with senior management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of partner propositions market dynamics business challenges and customer opportunities.
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to build executable frameworks.
- A self-driven and motivated attitude to achieve targets.
- A high degree of business maturity and the ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
Day-to-Day
- Collaborate with alliance partners to identify and develop joint business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to align on sales strategies and technical enablement.
- Organize and lead partner and customer engagement sessions to promote joint solutions.
- Track and report on pipeline progress and demand-generation activities.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives and partner-sponsored events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with alliance partners to ensure long-term success.
