Newark DE (ICD) - Site managementThe Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations and contributes to the Groups transformation. It is responsible for imagining developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.
The Engineering Team supports the Innovation Campus Delaware R&D groups with design risk evaluation pre-planning installation of experimental setups facility systems and capital projects. Projects typically start at conception through design implementation and startup.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support researchers in the conception development and optimization of experimental setups
- Mechanical design including layouts piping systems and 3D design
- System integration into controls systems
- Creation and review of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Write Technical and Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare mechanical bid design specifications
- Work independently and in small teams in a way that enhances team dynamics
Education
Masters degree (equivalent or above) in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering.
Must have:
Strong safety mindset
Knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCad and/or Solidworks
Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure
Strong organizational and planning skills
Nice to have:
Knowledge of industrial gasses and gas piping systems
Ability to create P&ID and PFD for new and existing experimental systems
Ability to create budgets and funding proposals for capital projects
Project and construction management (budget and timeline)
Experience in an industrial environment
Knowledgeable about 3D design
