Are you a skilled MRI Technologist looking to make an impact in veteran healthcare Do you want to work with cutting-edge imaging technology while serving those who served our country If so this opportunity is perfect for you.We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team supporting the VA healthcare system. Youll use your expertise to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services that directly impact patient care and treatment outcomes.This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced MRI equipment while contributing to the health and well-being of our nations veterans.What Youll Do
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images under the direction of radiologists and medical officers
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Ensure all imaging protocols are followed precisely to produce optimal diagnostic results
- Maintain and monitor MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a certification in your specialty
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Two (2) years experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment
- Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an MRI Tech in the last six (6) months
- Current professional liability insurance (evidence required)
- Must be available to work for the VA at least six (6) months after starting date
