Role Overview

We areseekinga highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)to join our engineering team supporting the development and deployment of our next-generation AI-powered cloud-based this role you will design and implement robust scalable and automated test solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud closely with developers product managers and other SDETs to design and implement robust cloud test strategies automation frameworks and validation tools.

The successful candidate will flourish making meaningful contributions and elegant solutions bedetermined and manage major turning points independently in a fast-paced environment.

What Youll Do

Define and maintain an automation roadmap aligned with team goals and product evolution
Act as a subject matter expert in test strategy and tooling within your domain
Design and manage automated testing suites including CI/CD pipeline development
Validate deployments across multiple cloud environments
Work closely with development to improve the quality of the product

What Were Looking For

Experience in Software Development in Test with a strong focus on cloudautomation
Proficiencyin at least one programming language (e.g. Python C# Java)
Experience with test automation tools andframeworks
Strong understanding of software architecture APIs SDKs and system integrationtesting
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testingenvironments
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention todetail
Strong communicationand collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills

Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Grafana DataDog CloudWatch)
Experience with BDD
AWS: S3 DynamoDB OpenSearch
Exposure to security testing performance testing and regression strategies
Docker container

Compensation & Benefits

At Magnet Forensics we are committed to fair and consistent pay practices for our student pay isdeterminedusing standardized non-negotiable salary bands based on academic progression and the number of official completed work terms recognized by your academic institution.

$22.01 - $33.81 CAD per hour
