The Role
This is a34 years post-qualificationengineering role focused on energy optimisation utilities performance and sustainability project delivery. You will support the identification development and implementation of improvement initiatives working closely with Operations Engineering and site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Energy & Carbon
- Support the development and implementation of the sitesenergy efficiency and carbon reduction roadmap
- Identify and assessenergy-saving and renewable technologiesfor site application
- Contribute to the delivery ofenergy optimisation projects and action plans
- Monitor and analyse energy performance forSignificant Energy Users (SEUs)
- Support energy measurement and verification activities
- Provide input into operational decisions to maintain energy and carbon performance
Utilities & Water
- Support delivery of the sitewater intensity reduction roadmap
- Track water usage and utilities performance across key processes
- Assist in identifying and deliveringwater conservation projects
- Monitor and support optimisation ofsteam compressed air and water systems
- Support boiler efficiency monitoring and steam optimisation initiatives
- Assist withoptimisation activities for operations of theWastewater Treatment Plant
Key Deliverables
- Measurable improvements inenergy water and utilities performance
- Timely delivery of assignedoptimisation projects
- Accurate performance data for internal and external reporting
- Contribution toISO 50001certification maintenance
- Weekly and monthly performance updates to site stakeholders
- Support sustainability regulatory and corporate reporting (CSRD EU ETS EPA)
What Were Looking For
Essential
- Degree inEngineering(Process Mechanical Energy or similar)
- 34 years experiencein a manufacturing or production environment
- Exposure toenergy utilities or process optimisation
- Strong analytical and data handling skills
- Familiarity with energy or utilities monitoring systems
- Good working knowledge ofISO 50001andISO 14001
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Desirable
- Experience withsteam systems or utilities optimisation
- Exposure to sustainability or decarbonisation projects
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory reporting
