Join our dynamic high-tech production team in Marshalltown Iowa! As a hands-on leader youll oversee the daily activities of our Logistics and Assembly in the manufacturing of large custom-designed control valves. In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and a safe work environment. Responsible for completing safety audits daily safety start-ups inspections and generating ideas to improve safety.
  • Plan and direct daily work activities to dynamically lead Logistic/Assembly resources to obtain daily goals.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce non-conformances improve cost and reduce manufacturing process time.
  • Complete individual and operation-based quality audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop cross training plans to improve Logistics/Assembly performance and increase flexibility and throughput.
  • Improve employee performance through formal and informal performance reviews job training and the sharing of ideas to improve department performance.
  • Participate in the development of capital plans and support the implementation of new technology to improve manufacturing processes and reduce non-conformances.
  • Support the development and implementation of industrys best practices in areas such as 5S1 TPM Kaizen events and implement cost reductions to improve performance.
  • Maintain department records such as hours worked overtime hours cross-training productivity quality etc. Consistently administer the labor agreement and lead efforts to improve performance.

You balance planning with actions. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one small and large groups or among diverse styles and position levels. You define issues and can map out a process. You drill down to root causes to gather relevant information.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Earned a High School Diploma or above complemented by 3 years of proven leadership experience.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing showcasing expertise in production processes and operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills; including being disciplined assertive and having a high energy level to meet safety and department performance goals
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • A technology-based Associates degree or Bachelors degree with 5 years experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong Logistic experience including both Shipping and Receiving.
  • Ability to teach crating/boxing skills and proven track record to drive process improvement
  • Experience supervising paint operations including coordination of schedules quality standards safety compliance and cross-functional alignment with assembly and logistics teams.
  • Strong Assembly experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) as well as MS Outlook
