Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our IONM Technologist you will communicate with your Supervisor and Surgeon for surgical case coverage and modality selection.
Every day you will prepare equipment connect and validate recording systems input patient data apply electrodes and monitor neurophysiological function throughout surgery communicating with the surgical team as needed. You will accurately document all relevant data submit billing and participate in on-call duties.
To be successful in this role you will meticulously manage intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring ensuring precision clear communication and operational efficiency throughout surgical procedures.
- Communication with Supervisor for surgical case coverage.
- Communication with Surgeon for Modalities selected.
- Prepare equipment and supplies in monitored OR room.
- Connect recording computer to Reading Room and validate this connection.
- Input all patient information into IONM recording.
- Identify and validate correct patient being monitored using 2 patient identifiers ie name and date of birth.
Job Requirements
- Certificate of completion from an accredited ASET program for EEG upon hire or
- Associates Other AAS degree in Electroneuro diagnostics from an accredited ASET program upon hire or
- Bachelors Other or higher upon hire and
- Enrollment in or graduated from anaccredited ASET program or
- 6 months orgreater current work experience in an IONM setting or
- 1 year current work experience in EEG EP or NerveConduction and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
Preferred
- Certificate of completion from an accredited ASET program for EEG upon hire and
- Associates Other AAS degree in Electroneuro diagnostics from an accredited ASET program upon hire or
- Bachelors Other or higher upon hire and
- Graduated from an accredited ASETprogram or
- 6 months or greater current work experience in an IONM setting or
- 2 year current work experience in EEG EPor Nerve Conduction and
