Chartwells are specialists in providing catering and hospitality services in education. Our goal is to provide engaging and nutritious dining solutions tailored to support academic achievement at the highest levels.
- Oversee a structure 4-Week rotational menu for Boarders Dining Hall.
- Create exciting menus that appeal to multi-demographic students with fresh produce and student friendly meals.
- Oversee the daily kitchen operations including the larder sections function prep and boarding.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of food production across functions and in house menu-based catering
- Actively maintain a high standard of food safety allergen awareness and OHS
- Contribute to the development of menu ideas using local fresh ingredients
- Assist in the mentoring of the kitchen team
- Monitor and order stock and minimize food wastage
- Experience in a relevant position highly regarded
- A passion for food and delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills and confident working independently
- Capable of thriving within a dynamic and fast paced work environment
- Strong commitment to the team driven by a solid work ethic
- Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
- Must be able to obtain Working with Children Check
- Leadership abilities and enjoys creating a positive work culture
- Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
- Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
- Experience in menu development and costing
