Job Summary
Learning Prep School in Newton MA is seeking a Reading Teacher (Special Education) to join our faculty as soon as possible in this newly added role will primarily support Middle School students who are our most significantly impacted readers. The teacher will provide daily reading instruction in a 1:1 or small-group setting using the Wilson Reading System and other structured literacy approaches that support decoding fluency and comprehension based on individual student needs. This position requires strong foundational reading instruction skills a patient and encouraging demeanor and the ability to adapt materials and methods to each learners students have complex learning needs and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve! LPS is a school for students with diverse profiles who are best supported by a language-based learning approach. While we are not a therapeutic setting or a program for students with significant behavioral support needs we do offer speech-language pathology occupational therapy and counseling as part of our service delivery model.LPS is a great place to work!
