6.75 Hr. Food Service General Helper

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or successful completion of GED.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in fundamental math skills.
3. Proficient in reading writing and communication skills.
4. Willing to cross train positions through on-the-job training and work hours as specified by Manager.
5. Ability to accurately count money and make change.
6. Follow oral and written instructions.
7. Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for the majority of the shift.
8. ServSafe certification.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Understanding and proficiency in basic computer skills.
2. Have a thorough understanding of food safety practices and regulations including but not limited to proper food storage methods food preparation techniques and proper cleaning methods.
3. Experience working in institutional feeding preferred.
4. Knowledge of the NSLP menu pattern and appropriate serving portions.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Greet students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

2. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

3. Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and portion control guidelines cooking baking salad-making cashiering dishwashing and clean-up detail as directed by Manager.

4. Serve meals to students faculty and staff members.

5. Clean and sanitize work areas student tables and other surfaces.

6. Assist in putting stock in refrigerators freezer and storage room.

7. Attend workshops and meetings as required.

8. Answer questions about menu items and assist with selection.

9. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor of Food Service Superintendent/CEO or his/her designee.

10. Abide by the rules regulations policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.

SALARY: As per negotiated contract.
