Areas of Responsibility:
- Coaching fundamentals in volleyball obtain training from alternate resources like camps/clinics to expand abilities.
- Manage practices all aspects of contests and all baseketball activities while promoting individual growth in athletic skills teamwork respect and sportsmanship. This includes contacting schools to schedule games gathering volunteers for contests working with assistant coaches to delegate tasks and network fundraising for teams needs.
- Manage staff or assistant coaches trainers equipment manager etc.
- Maintain and secure all team equipment and uniforms.
- Work with the athletic director to maintain positive two-way communication with staff concerning student-athletes.
- Develop and represent a culture that positively reflects the Sheridan community.
Qualifications Required:
- 3-years coachingvolleyball at the high school level preferred (prior head coaching experience preferred).
- Effective coaching strategies to help develop players technique and skills.
- Knowledge of the rules regulations strategies schemes and techniques of the sport.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff administration district employees families community and the state governing body (OSAA).
- Current First Aid Certification or the ability to get certified.
- Meet OSAA certification requirements.
- Successful applicant will be fingerprinted and background checked.
- Ability to obtain Mini Bus Certification
- Background check will be done
