Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG interpretation in an acute care environment. This role is critical to patient safety and requires close collaboration with nursing and medical staff to identify rhythm changes respond to emergencies and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
Analyze ECG strips and promptly identify potentially life-threatening rhythm changes
Initiate emergency response protocols and record cardiac rhythms during code situations
Respond appropriately to all telemetry monitor alarms
Troubleshoot telemetry and cardiac monitoring equipment
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with correct electrode placement
Communicate clearly with charge nurses physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Enter verify and manage orders in the electronic medical record system
Retrieve and report laboratory results to nursing staff as required
Ensure documentation complies with organizational policies and regulatory standards
Safely operate and maintain monitoring and medical equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross issued within the past year)
Completion of a Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course
Experience with continuous cardiac monitoring
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
