Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Monitor Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG interpretation in an acute care setting. This role is critical to patient safety and involves identifying rhythm changes supporting emergency response situations and ensuring accurate monitoring and documentation. The technician will work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff to support high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross issued within the last 12 months)
Completion of a recognized Dysrhythmia Course
Experience with continuous cardiac monitoring
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Perform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
Analyze telemetry strips and promptly identify potentially life-threatening rhythm changes
Initiate and support code situations including recording cardiac rhythms during emergencies
Respond appropriately to telemetry monitor alarms
Troubleshoot telemetry and cardiac monitoring equipment
Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement
Communicate clearly and effectively with charge nurses physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Enter verify and manage orders in the electronic medical record system
Retrieve and report laboratory results to nursing staff as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Safely operate and manage monitoring and medical equipment
