Crossroads ABA Center seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)for a new program! This is an in-office part-time position and schedule is to be determined but will be between the hours of 9am-5pm.
TheRBTprovides direct one-on-one and small-group therapy to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in a center-based environment. Under the supervision of a BCBA the RBT implements individualized treatment plans to promote communication social play and adaptive skills while reducing challenging behaviors using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelors degree in psychology education or a related field preferred)
- Experience working with children especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity throughout the day
- Reliable punctual and compassionate demeanor
- RBT certification preferred (organization may provide training and supervision for certification)
Job Responsibilitiesinclude (but are not limited to):
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising BCBA
- Collect accurate and consistent data on target behaviors and skill goals during each therapy session
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and independence
- Assist with daily routines including transitions toileting meals and playtime as appropriate
- Collaborate with the clinical team to review progress and make recommendations for program adjustments
- Follow all ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB and organizational policies
