DescriptionThe Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for implementing admissions processes for prospective students and applicants across the seminarys degree programs and locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director and the Associate Director of Recruitment in consultation with the VP for Enrollment Services to formulate and implement a comprehensive admission and recruitment strategy;
Facilitate decisions regarding prospective student applications;
Facilitate decisions regarding current student reclassification applications and TOEFL/IELTS waiver applications;
Assist the Director in final application evaluations;
Manage a set of admission accounts to guide applicants through the application process counsel them regarding degree program choice screen applications for review and facilitate the matriculation of accepted students;
Represent DTS on recruitment trips and reinforcing seminary ties;
Assist with updating and sending outgoing communications including applicant and accepted student communications in collaboration with the Director and the Admissions Administrator;
Run queries and reports in the CRM (Slate) and identify any challenges or opportunities related to the admissions funnel;
Supervise the admissions counselor team including the onboarding of all new admissions counselors across all campuses and locations and provide ongoing coaching (e.g. prospective student applications; phone call SMS text and email contact strategies; and on-campus and virtual visit effectiveness);
Coordinate the ongoing training initiatives for all Admissions staff;
Recommend merit-based scholarship recipients to the Admissions Committee and the Financial Aid Committee;
Serve as Secretary for the Admissions Committee and as a member of additional Seminary committees as needed;
Serve as a liaison between the Admissions office and other departments and campuses including Marketing and Communications the doctoral departments Chinese Studies DTS en Español Distance Education and affiliated personnel on the Houston DC and Atlanta campuses; and
Facilitate the construction and delivery of promotional campaigns via Slate to prospective students applicants and admitted students in conjunction with other campus partners.
