Job Summary
Were looking for a hands-on Lab Technician / Engineering Technologist to drive materials testing and experimentation. Youll be at the center of validating cutting-edge building materialsfrom advanced concrete composites to innovative structural prototypes. Accuracy reliability and attention to detail are your superpowers and your work will directly influence the next generation of building solutions.
Job Description:
- Conduct compression tensile and flexural tests on concrete composites and steel
- Prepare mix cast and cure test specimens with precision
- Support engineers in assembling and testing structural prototypes
- Record analyze and report data accurately document every step visually
- Maintain lab equipment manage materials inventory and uphold strict safety standards
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 13 years lab experience in construction materials testing
- Familiarity with SANS ASTM or ISO standards
- Digital skills for accurate data logging and reporting
- Bonus: experience with composites and hydraulic testing equipment
Qualification:
- National Diploma BTech or BSc in Civil Engineering Materials Science
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
