Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join an acute care unit. The RN will provide comprehensive patient-centered care utilizing clinical judgment and evidence-based practice in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Scheduling & Documentation
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
Scheduling Requests: RTO block and special scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission
Call-Off Policy: Facility may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract without charge
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: RN candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
Licensure & Certifications
License: Active New York State RN license required (non-compact)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Clinical Experience
Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience with cardiac monitoring
Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
Participation in Rapid Response and Code Team situations
Oxygen therapy including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
IV therapy and phlebotomy with peripheral line care
Knowledge and application of isolation precautions
