Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Charge RN youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
- Demonstrates expected skill set within the scope of service at a competent to expert level.
- Performs basic skills of all staff reporting to Charge Nurse during shift.
- Performs responsibilities and duties specific to Charge Nurse role.
Shift: 6:30pm - 7am
Core Schedule: Week 1 Thu Fri Sat; Week 2 Sun Mon Tue
Student loan repayment program as well as relocation assistance offered!
Job Requirements
- Oregon RN License
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- PALS within 6 months
- ENPC within 6 months
- TNCC within 6 months
- One year of current clinical experience in the ED
- Associates Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- BSN
- Previous designated Charge Nurse experience in the ED
- CCRN
- PCCN
- CEN
- Obstetric Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing (RNC)
