One-year appointment as a non-tenure track faculty member in the Operations and Industrial (OIE) discipline within The Business School for the purpose of sabbatical coverage. The successful candidate will teach six courses and actively participate in departmental activities contributing to our vibrant academic community.JOB DESCRIPTION
Appointment Details
Duration: Nine-month appointment (August 2026 May 2027)
Rank: Assistant Teaching Professor (Ph.D. required) or Instructor (M.S. with significant industry experience)
Start Date: August 2026
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Teaching (primary responsibility)
Service and Departmental Engagement
Active participation in department activities which may include:
Contributing to curriculum development and learning assessment initiatives
Engaging in student mentoring and advising
Attending department meetings retreats and strategic planning sessions
Participating in operational activities of The Business School
Collaborating with faculty across the OIE discipline other Business School disciplines and interdisciplinary colleagues.
Administrative Requirements
Complete the Faculty Annual Review Process including data entry in Watermark Faculty Success and Workday
Participate in New Faculty Orientation (August 2026)
Report to the Department Head and collaborate effectively within the supervisory chain
Resources Provided:
Dedicated office within The Business School
Information technology support
Access to institutional resources for teaching and professional development
Qualifications:
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. (for an Assistant Teaching Professor) or an MS with significant work experience (for an Instructor). At least one degree (B.S. M.S. or Ph.D.) should be in Industrial Engineering (IE) or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability or strong potential for effective teaching at the college level.
Preferred:
Expertise in supply chain management is preferred. College-level teaching experience is valued particularly involving active learning pedagogies use of educational technology project-based learning case-based teaching and online course delivery.

Compensation:
$100000 - $110000 per year. Salary is based on related experience expertise and internal equity.
