As the Orthopaedic Clinical Speciality Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
Monitor theatre lists within specialty and liaise with specialty Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) or doctors rooms to ensure material resources are available
Coordinate theatre equipment consumables instruments with accuracy and in a cost-effective manner
Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
Work clinically to support VMO and staff (60% Clinical 40% administration) flexibility to work AM/PM dependant on operational requirements
Providing guidance mentoring and support to your team
Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA
Knowledge of Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards (ACORN) and awareness of legislative requirements
Registered Nurse with at least 5 years experience in theatre particularly in orthopaedics
Demonstrated management experience
Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills including advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Desirable Criteria:
Tertiary post graduate qualifications in a relevant Nursing specialty
A demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement change management models of care evidence-based practice and practise development.

If you are successful you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope - NSWNMA / AMNF - Nurses and Midwives Agreement NUM classification starting from $68.87 to $74.06 per hour.
